2007 has been a really fantastic year with our dogs being so successful.

We have not kept this website, English version, updated as it should and there are many results that are just seen at the Swedish version, sorry....

The lack of updating is mainly due to our decision not to breed curlies any more. This was not in any way easy to decide after more than 20 years trying to breed good working curlies for the field. Unfortunately, it seems like there are fewer and fewer people wanting curlies for hunting and trialling at top level and as we can never accept the breed to be "just another pet breed" we'll stop here and now.

Finally, we are so proud and happy for all those curlies we have bred, owned, trained, trialled and hunted with - do never think anything else!
Maybe the Ringlets blood lines will be kept alive through some other breeders - we do hope so and wish you all Good Luck in the future!

From now on we will not be updating this English version but you are more than welcomed to visit the Swedish site and by e-mail, guestbook or phone ask for some news in English you think could be of interest for you!

Cold game tests results:

Anki did it! Two tests and two 1st prizes in the open class = qualified for the elite class!

Rimma, Ringlets Rime, made a success at her very first cold game test. Being just 15 months old, she was awarded 1st prize with excellent critics.

Her litter sister Mixa, Ringlets Ripple, with owner/handler Eva Wiklund was equally successful = 1st prize!

Iris, SUCH Ringlets Vindil, made her debute in the open class and owner Eva-Lena Asplund handled her to a 2nd prize.


Show results:

Eskil, Ringlets Vinterfrost, has entered his third and fourth show and he was awarded..... CC, CACIB and BOS at the third show and CC and BOB at the fourth!

Dobra whelped on June 17 th, after Swiper. It's a small litter of four pups: two dogs and two bitches. A liver coloured bitch and the rest is black. Both mom and kids are doing just fine and Dobra is a wonderful mother: calm and caring. (But she is now, after four days, looking at us with some sort of "training eyes".... :-))

Dobra is now qualified for the Winners' class!
At the cold game test in Garphyttan today, Dobra won her second 1st prize in the open class and that is really wonderful! Dobra is probably pregnant and we are proud to present that the mother of the upcoming litter is an "elite dog".

One week earlier Dobra entered the District Championship of Stockholm and was placed 7th out of 30 open class dogs.

Today Dobra was bred and we are hoping that there will be many lovely Swiper x Dobra pups in Mid June.

Dobra is in season and will be bred around 15 - 16 April. Let's keep our fingers crossed hoping for a wonderful litter in June!

Swiper and Dobra have had their eyes examined and are both clear.
Dobra is showing signs of soon being in season while Iris is still absolutely "normal". We'll just have to wait.... ;-)

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Here it's not really winter... with green grass and warm temperature. "So bad!" say some... we think it is just GREAT! :-)
We are able to do some training with the dogs and also take long, lovely walks.

We KNOW there are e-mails that have NOT reached our mail box. So if you haven't got any replies from us - please try to send your message again or use our guestbook. This is very annoying but .... cyber space sometimes play games with us, or?

Swiper is doing really well in working and we are sooooo looking forward having his first litters here in spring. Neither Dobra nor Iris is in season yet so we'll just have to wait....

Anki, Justlike Queen Elisabeth, wins the Working Test in Värmland today.
She had the highest points of her class, open, but her 94 points was also the highest scoring of the whole test, all classes included.

Lussac, Ringlets Vinternatt, with owner Jorun Johansen, really made it at the two shows in Tromsö, Norway!
Yesterday, being just 9 months and 1 day old, he won CC and BOB under judge Vidar Grundetjern and today he got a CK and was placed second in the Best Dog competion class under judge IngerBoström.

Tigra made some wonderful runs at the Championship this weekend but... one "not that good" water blind ruined her chances getting to the finals. Hmmm... Tigra certainly is a great dog working on blinds both on land and water...

Steffi, SJCH NJCH INTUCH SUCH NUCH NV-99 SV-00 Ringlets Vanquishing Gale, has left this world.
She fell a sleep in our car, which has brought her to so many wonderful places, and her last thought in this world must have been "we're going away again - hunting, I think...".

Now Steffi is hunting where the grass is ever green, the winds and waters are warm and the ducks are coming in low...

For me there is just one more thing left to say: "Thanks Steffi for all those years together and all those birds that we, you and I, sought and found."

After more than two months without my computer, here we are again!

We have now moved to our new home outside Forshaga - a wonderful place in the countryside with large meadows and forests - just perfect for us and the dogs. Two guestrooms are waiting for our friends - you are always so welcomed! The pack has got a new member in little yellow Rimma, Ringlets Rime, a daughter of Anki, so now there are six dogs living here with us.

Of course there have been quite a few news since the end of May when I last updated our website but all that will have to wait until I've unpacked all the boxes - seems like a hundred at least.... ;-)

Everything is now working fine - telephone, e-mail and website - all with their "old" numbers and addresses, the only thing that's changed is our home address which is changed into:

Dobra, SUCH Ringlets Eldgnista, did a great job at the cold game test, open class, in Kuså. She showed both stamina and will-to-please and she was one of only two dogs who got 1st prize. Eva was sooooo pleased and impressed by her hard working little girl!

Trubbel, SU(u)CH Ringlets Eldöga, got CC and BOB in Skellefeå today and became Swedish Show Champion. He just needed four shows to finish his title. Great!

Today Anki, Justlike Queen Elisabeth, delivered eight lovely puppies. There were two boys and six girls (one yellow girl, the rest black). Anki, who do think she is the best in everything is, of course, doing this just great... :-)

Dobra, SU(u)CH Ringlets Eldgnista, did a great job at SSRK/Östra's Working Test this weekend. She was placed second of 19 open class dogs with the total score of 93 points. At two stations she got 20 points - top scoring! Finally she was Gun's Choice at the walk-up station. Eva was soooo pleased with her little girl who was working really great the whole day.

Swiper, SoftMaple Ringlets Jet-Setter, has finally come home to us!

After so many months of waiting he arrived to his new home here in Sweden after a long flight from SoftMaple kennel in USA.
His pedigree is evry interesting and you will find many dogs with show and/or field merits. These are solid old american blood lines which we do not have here in Europe.
Swiper is a wonderful little guy with working desire and curiousity. He is a great mover and has a very, very good conformation. Today he is 7½ months and we are really lookung forward getting to know him.
The weather has been quite bad these last weeks and we haven't been able to get any really good pictures of him but you 'll find one "half bad" pics of his head at his own page. We'll put up new and better pictures when the weather turns...

Anki, Justlike Queen Elisabeth performed a brilliant field work at the Working Test of Värmland winning the Youngster class with unbeatable 97 point out of 100!

Niki, SJCH Ringlets Catchy Twister won the Winners class at the same WT.

Tigra, SJ(j)CH NJCH Moorman's Look Nice got another 2nd prize at FT Winners' class.

Our next litter will be out of Iris, SU(u)CH Ringlets Vindil and be sired by the NZ import Nui, Toakaha Wairua Pakari Nui.

Willi new Swedish Field Trial Champions (SJCH)!

Willi, SJCH SUCH Ringlets Coaly Storm, completed the success of this "Field Trial Champion trio" when finishing his title.
Now counting a total of seven Field Trial Champions in Europe there are FIVE Ringlets curlies! (read below)

Myrrha, SU(u)CH Ringlets Busy Wind, made her debute in open class at Cold Game Test and got a 3rd prize.

Niki and Tarras new Swedish Field Trial Champions (SJCH)!

Tarras, SJCH SUCH Ringlets Constant Wind, and Niki, SJCH Ringlets Catchy Twister, both finished their titles last week.
This is absolutely outstandning!!!

In Europe there have only been six Field Trial Champions so far. The very first, in 1997, was Russin, SJCH INTUCH SUCH NUCH Ringlets Rattling Breeze who was followed in -98 by her niece Steffi, SJCH NJCH INTUCH SUCH NUCH NV-99 SV-00 Ringlets Vanquishing Gale whose son Tarras, SJCH SUCH Ringlets Constant Wind, and daughter Niki, SJCH Ringlets Catchy Twister, are the two new FTCHs.
Europe's two other FTCHs live in Finland but one of them, SFFTCH NFTCH INTUCH SFUCH NUCH Vilsan's Nordanvind, is in fact from Sweden bred by Karin Sköld. His mother Sally, INTUCH SUCH NUCH Ringlets Conquering Gale is littersister to Tarras, Niki and Willi.
Quite a litter to be proud of...

Willi, SUCH Ringlets Coaly Storm got his third 1st prize in Winners' class (FT) last weekend which means that he is very close to his FT title.

Tigra, NJCH SJ(j)CH Moorman's Look Nice, was Best Dog with a 1st prize at the FT in Norway some weeks ago which added a new title to her name: Norwegian Field Trial Champion (NJCH).

Wilmer, Ringlets Eldsken, made a good debute in Open class at FT getting a 3rd prize. He did a very nice work throughout the whole trial but didn't manage to find the right blind.

Iris, SU(u)CH Ringlets Vindil, has finished her title and is now Swedish Show Champion (SU(u)CH).

Niki, Tarras and Willi made curly history!!

The three litter mates, Tarras, SUCH Ringlets Constant Wind, Willi, SUCH Ringlets Coaly Storm and Niki, Ringlets Catchy Twister, made history by winning 1st prizes in the Winners' class at FT during the same weekend!
This means that Tarras and Niki, having three 1st prizes each, now are one step from their Field Trial titles...
Willi has now got two 1sts and will need one more to catch up with his siblings.

Anki, Justlike Queen Elisabeth, made a real success in her debute at FT, young dogs class: she was awarded 1st prize with HP (Prize of Honour) and Best Dog at Trial.
By this win she is qualified for the open class.

Tarras, SUCH Ringlets Constant Wind, wins his second 1st prize in Winners' class at the Field Trial in Hunneberg yesterday.

Dobra, SU(u)CH Ringlets Eldgnista, has now got a 1st prize in open class Blood Tracking.


Curlyträffen, the Breed Speciality, was a success even this year for the Ringlets curlies at the Field Trial (there were no Ringlets dogs entering the show ring this year):

Willi, SUCH Ringlets Coaly Storm, with owner Kajsa won the Winners' class before his litter mates Niki and Tarras.
They were all awarded 1st prize.

Dobra did a wonderful run in the finals in the open class but due to a less good water blind earlier during the day she was finally placed second. She was awarded a 1st prize.

Myrrha, SU(u)CH Ringlets Busy Wind, was placed third in the open class.

Iris, Ringlets Vindil, was placed fourth, with a 1st prize, in the beginners' class.

Anki, Justlike Queen Elisabeth, has been x-rayed with the results A (hips) and UA = 0 (elbows).
Now there are three litter mates x-rayed with the same excellent results.

Anki and Tigra are now members of Värmland's team in the Swedish Team Championships for Retrievers.
During the weekend 15 - 17 July we will be competing for the Team Championship-title!

Dobra has been successful at shows being awarded CC three times in a row, BOB twice, CACIB once and last but not least...BIS 2!
By this she finishes her title and is now Swedish Show Champion. > >>>>>


Anki and Niki entered the Working Test in Karlstad in April and did very, very well: Anki won the young dogs class and scored top points at two stations which NO other dog managed counting all classes.
Niki had the highest points of the dogs in the Elite class but when the four top scoring dogs met in the finals (a very tricky blind) Niki messed it up a bit and was finally placed third.


Niki made a real success at Elmia Game Fair.
Niki, Tigra and Anki were all members of the team from Värmland, Hot Country, competing in the Elmia Team Cup. Judge was a legendar, the former Royal Head Keeper at Queen Elisabeth's Sandringham Castle in England, Mr Bill Meldrum.
After the first day, our team was second and all our dogs had made really nice runs. Again Anki scored top points as did Niki.
When Sunday's finals were over our team finished second. We were all very pleased but there was more to come.... when judge Mr Bill Meldrum presented the name of the dog that he "had enjoyed the most during these days"...

As usual, Niki was the only curly at the trial and the judge said that he had never seen a curly working like Niki - she actually beat all the FT labs....;-)

As the first and only curly breeder Ringlets has been awarded The Swedish Kennel Club's Bruksuppfödarepris. This award is so hard to get that there are very few breeders, all breeds included, holding it. To get it you have to have bred top winning dogs at hunting tests and Field Trials up to and including elite winners and Field Trial Champions. We are so proud and grateful!

Niki wins her second 1st prize in Winners' class at the trial at Väse. She performs a brilliant work and is awarded Prize of Honour and Best Dog at Trial!

This is the first time in all Scandinavia that a curly is awarded HP (Prize of Honour) in Winners' class. Not even mother Steffi got a HP in this class although she was Best Dog at Trial twice (in both Norway and Sweden).

Tigra gets to the finals at The Swedish Retriever Championships and is there finally placed four!
She is Best Bitch and also Guns' Choice!

Willi is also competing at the Championships and manage to reach the finals. Super!
Unfortunately he then is one of the first dogs to be out...

Tigra is now SWEDISH FIELD TRIAL CHAMPION !

Tigra, SJ(j)CH Moorman's Look Nice did a wonderful work at the trial, duck hunting, at the estate of St. Sundby yesterday.
Three years old she enters the winners' class four times with a 2nd prize in her debute followed by three 1st prizes in a row and finally finishing her title at the duck hunting.

Dobra, Ringlets Eldgnista, enters the young dogs class for the very first time at the FT in Eskilstuna. Her good work results in her winning a 1st prize.

Tigra wins her third 1st prize in a row in the Winners' class at the trial at Naddö today!

Tigra's Field Trial Champion title is close....next Wednesday she will enter the final test, real hunting (ducks and pheasants), at the estate of St. Sundby.
Go for it, Tigra!!

More great results!

* At the FT, Winners' class, at Ransjön this weekend Niki, Ringlets Catchy Twister, got a 2nd prize on Saturday and her first 1st prize on Sunday.

* Tigra, Moorman's Look Nice really had a great weekend ending up with 1st prizes both days.

* At the show in Ultuna Myrrha, Ringlets Busy Wind, owner Lajla Rydberg, won her third CC and BOB in a row and so she can add the title Show Champion to her name.

Great Field Trial results!

Yesterday, Sunday, Wilmer, Ringlets Eldsken, got a 1st prize in the Young Dogs class at the trial in Kalix.

At the FT in Ludvika Tarras, Ringlets Constant Wind, won his first 1st prize in Winners' class. Wonderful!

Niki, Ringlets Catchy Twister, got a 2nd prize in Winners' class.

Willi, Ringlets Coaly Storm, got a 3rd prize in the same class.

Our young labrador bitch Tigra, Moorman's Look Nice got a 2nd prize in her debute in Winners' class.

Due to computer problems there haven`t been any updates for long but here are some news:

* "Sally", INTUCh SUCh NUCh Ringlets Conquering Gale won BIR & BIS-3 best huntingdog at Luleå SSRK 29 may.

* Iris, Ringlets Vindil, has been shown and awarded CK.

* Myrrha, Ringlets Busy Wind, owner Lajla Rydberg, got CC and BOB at the same show.

* Little labrador girl Anki, Justlike Queen Elizabeth, is the new member of our family. She is born on May 7 and comes from Sören Norén in Bälinge near Uppsala.
Her parents are FTW Tasco Brimstone and Moorman´s Look Twice.
Anki has got a wonderful attitude and is really a promising young lady!
